What to consider when
shopping for outdoor furniture
1 Measure your space
Always measure your space first. We’ve noticed that many people think their outdoor space is bigger than it actually is. An overcrowded outdoor area will actually be less functional than a well-planned space. Measure the width and length of your space as well as any pieces you already have like grills, fireplaces, or existing furniture. Consider sketching everything out on a piece of graph paper and taking it with you as a reference when you shop.

2 What factors are
important to you?
You may have already considered colors, types of furniture, and maybe even brands that you like. Those are great places to start, but there are a few other things you can flush out before you begin to shop.
- How will you be using your outdoor space? Will you serve meals on your patio, or are you looking for a place to sit and watch the traffic go by?
- Motion or stationary? We recommend coming in and trying out both options for yourself so you can see what you prefer.
- Will you need extra shade for sunny days? Maybe you should plan to have an umbrella.
- Consider longevity. All of our outdoor furniture is backed with a 20-year residential or 5-year commercial warranty (excludes motion parts). If something happens, we’ve got your back.
For all of these considerations, there are pros and cons, but the more facts you know, the better prepared you’ll be to make the right decision.
